Dr. Meg Baho, DVM, Practice Limited to Internal Medicine Our Internal Medicine service is here to provide in depth diagnostics and hospitalization for your critical patients. We offer additional insight into complicated cases involving dogs and cats.
Animals with hematologic, urinary tract, hepatic, gastrointestinal, neurologic, or cardiac disease are our focus. Services provided include:
Laparoscopy Laparoscopy provides a means of visual exploration of the abdomen. It grants a minimally invasive means of obtaining diagnostic samples of diseased organs including the liver and pancreas. Laparoscopy is a superior alternative to ultrasound guided liver biopsies. Larger, more diagnostic samples are obtained, with the increased safety of visualization through the use of fiber-optic cameras.
Rhinoscopy Rhinoscopy allows visualization and biopsy of the nasal turbinates and nasopharynx. This, along with endoscopy via retroflexion over the caudal portion of the soft palate, allows complete visual exploration of the nasal cavity.
Cystoscopy Our rigid cystoscope allows examination of the interior of the urinary bladder. With this tool, we can visualize the ureteral openings, which along with contrast studies or advanced imaging such as CT, allow diagnosis of ectopic ureters. Bladder masses can also be visualized and biopsied.
